Shop Safely at the Riverwalk

Below are the guidelines we’re following to ensure the safety of our employees and customers throughout the Phases of reopening The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk.


Operating Hours: Monday – Saturday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM / Sundays: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Capacity Limit: 50% occupancy

Safe Operating Procedures for Customers:

COVID Symptoms Assessment- We will have a security guard at our main entrances to assess customers for the signs and symptoms of COVID-19

Face Coverings– Guests entering the facility will be required to wear a proper face covering while in the building. Face masks will be available for any customer who does not have one.

Hand Sanitizer – Hand sanitizer dispensers, touchless wherever possible, will be placed at key guest entrances and high contact areas such as elevator and escalator landings and stairway landings.

Interior Signage- There will be health and safety signage throughout the property including the proper face covering requirements, avoid touching face, wash hands, and social distancing reminders. Additional signage includes:

  • Elevator maximum capacity signage on all passenger and freight elevators.
  • Distancing reminders on restroom sinks and urinals.
  • “One way” floor markers throughout the facility for guests to follow a flow of traffic to avoid cross traffic.
  • 6ft distance markers at food court storefronts.
  • Area closed signage for children’s play area.

Social Distancing Enforcement: We will have our security team members throughout the common areas overseeing crowd management and enforcing social distancing rules.

Food Court Seating: In accordance with the State Fire Marshal guidelines for Restaurants, we have spaced out seating in the dining area to ensure tables are 6 feet apart. Any areas where guests will be passing through, we have tables spaced out at 8 feet apart. Plexiglass dividers have been installed at our charging stations to promote social distancing. Exterior seating has been arranged to accommodate limited seating and tables have been spaced out at 10 feet apart.

Common Areas that will remain closed to public:

  • Children’s Play Area

Safe Operating Procedures for Riverwalk Employees and Vendors:

COVID Symptoms Assessment- Store managers will be asked to evaluate their employees for symptoms of COVID-19 specifically fever or respiratory issues daily.

Face Coverings– All employees, vendors and delivery drivers entering the facility will be required to wear a proper face covering while in the building. Face masks will be available to all employees, vendors and drivers if they do not have one.

Hand Sanitizer – Hand sanitizer dispensers, touchless wherever possible, will be placed at key guest entrances and high contact areas such as elevator and escalator landings and stairway landings. Additionally, hand sanitizer or soap and water should be used between each task and after customer interactions.

Social Distancing Enforcement: Mall Employees, vendors and staff will be required to maintain 6 feet distance from other employees, vendors, staff and customers at all times.

Retail Store Procedures: Each store will be responsible for overseeing and enforcing capacity, social distancing and sanitizing procedures in their space.

  • Managers should encourage employees to use hand sanitizer between each task and after customer check-out or interaction.
  • Clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces like handles, countertops and credit card machines.

Retail Employee and Customer Interaction: Store managers will be required to make modifications to their store to allow for 6 feet distance between customers.

  • Employees will be required to maintain 6 feet from other employees and customers and will not be permitted to touch the customers.

Additional Operational Procedures:

Facility Cleaning- Our cleaning team will continue to sanitize high touch surfaces throughout the day using EPA N List- approved disinfectant. We’ll have designated staff member monitoring these areas: restrooms, elevator buttons, doorknobs, handles, light switches, countertops, etc

Facility Maintenance: Our Operations team will be continuing their efforts to increase facility safety for customers and employees. Below is a list of items that will be maintained during Phase II Opening.

  • Close off every other sink and restroom stall to allow for 6 ft. of separation in restrooms
  • Close water fountains
  • Close children’s play area
  • Install safety screens for all food court merchant customer interaction areas (cash register area)
  • Install safety screens at common table charging bars
  • Install touchless restroom door openers on public restroom doors
  • Maintain touchless hand sanitizer stands throughout the common area
  • Install touchless sanitizing wipe stations at vertical transportation areas and restrooms

What has been done while closed?

  • Cleaned and sanitized entire mall common area using EPA N List-approved disinfectant. Sanitized areas include, but are not limited to, benches, sign holders, return air grilles, fans, vertical transportation, vinyl furniture, children’s play area, entry bridges, door handles, high glass, food court balcony, food court furniture, trash cans, stairwells, etc.
  • HVAC air filters have been changed
  • Cleaned and sealed all back hallways and electric rooms
  • Removed fabric furniture
  • Installed touchless hand sanitizer stands throughout the common area, restrooms and vertical transportation areas

Curbside Pickup

While the interior of the mall remains closed, offering contact-less Curbside Pickup is the first step towards welcoming our employees back to work.

We chose the Curbside Pickup location with safety in mind. Below are the protocols we ask all customers to adhere to when picking up an order from the Riverwalk Curbside Pickup Location. (Pickup location is at Loading Dock B. A helpful map can be found HERE.)

Store employees working Curbside Pickup are required to:

  • Wear a face mask or protective covering at all times.
  • Wash hands before and after delivering customer items or utilize one of our sanitizer stations near the access point.
  • Maintain social distance from other employees in their stores and throughout the center.
