We get it. The kids are out of school, the days are heating up and your summer vacation is a few too many weeks away. If you’re sitting inside counting down the days until your family vacation, summer can get boring. Riverwalk Outlets isn’t about to let that happen. Get out of the house and into downtown for free this summer thanks to Riverwalk Outlet’s seasonal events! From Toddler Tuesdays to Summer Fest, there’s something for all ages, so no one in your family will be bored this summer. Riverwalk Summer FestFrom 12 to 4 p.m. on Friday, June 3, you and your family can participate in the Riverwalk Summer Fest! If you love all things NOLA summer, this event is for you. Located off Spanish Plaza, Summer Fest will include live music from DJ Polo 504, snowcones, crawfish available for purchase from the Nola Chuck Wagon, face painting from characters and airbrush tattoos. Riverwalk Summer Fest is our definition of an ideal New Orleans summer day, and we think you’ll agree. Toddler TuesdaysToddler Tuesdays at Riverwalk Outlets are here to help you beat cabin fever. Getting the kiddos out of the house is a challenge, especially in the heat of the summer months. But every Tuesday in June from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Riverwalk Outlets is hosting Toddler Tuesday with games, story time, dancing and more for kids ages zero to five. The best part? Their favorite characters, including Elsa, Batman, Princess Tiana and Marshall from Paw Patrol, will be stopping by to say hi! This event will be located at the Children’s Play Area (by Nordstrom Rack and the Food Court) and is free to the public. Riverwalk’s July 4th Vendor’s MarketCelebrate the season with views of the Mississippi River, local vendors and live music—starting June 29 and continuing through July 5, Riverwalk’s July 4th Vendors Market is the place to be. If you’re planning on attending the nearby Essence Festival of Culture (a local music festival celebrating New Orleans’ culture and art), the Riverwalk Vendor’s Market should be your next stop during your trip downtown. The market will host multiple local vendors selling clothing, jewelry, health and beauty products, art, makeup and more! Unlike Essence Fest, this event will be free to the public. Family-friendly events aren’t hard to come by this summer thanks to Riverwalk Outlets. Learn more about our schedule of events and Riverwalk Outlets news on our events page.
